Pilates and Pilates Reformer

Pilates is a series of exercises that emphasize breath, core conditioning and complete body awareness.  By practicing Pilates, clients notice more stamina, better balance, a stronger back and a more powerful core which translates into all areas of movement in daily life.  Although emphasis is on the core, Pilates is a challenging total body workout.  Exercises can be modified to increase or decrease difficulty depending on the needs of the client.

Mat Pilates is performed on a mat using bodyweight as resistance and often employing the use of props, including foam rollers, bands, balls, rings and even the BOSU.  

Pilates equipment workouts employ the use of the Reformer, Tower, and Stability Chair and can be tailor made to the needs of each client.   A system of springs, ropes and pulleys provides challenging resistance and support to the classical repertoire.
